Dr. Daniel Duffy (Wilmington & Carolina Beach Locations)
Dr. Daniel Duffy received his D.M.D. from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and holds a BS in Business Administration from the ECU College of Business. His private practice, Live Oak Dental, specializes in family dentistry, advanced dental procedures, and wellness-based care. Dr. Duffy is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Duffy invests in his own professional development through regularly participating in advanced dental training programs. He has completed several graduate level curricula, including dental implant training with the Engel Institute and continuing education courses at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, WA. In July 2023, Dr. Duffy received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an award only achieved by dentists who have demonstrated a commitment to earning over 500 hours of continuing education.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Dr. Duffy strongly believes in offering his patients an exceptional dental experience from consultation to conclusion. His focus is high quality dentistry and an excellent patient experience at the office. His team utilizes leading-edge technology such as digital radiography and a 3D imaging scanners to provide comfortable and comprehensive dental treatment.
A dedicated leader in the local dental community, Dr. Duffy served as the President of the Cape Fear Dental Study Club and is an active member of the NC Dental Society 5th District Board of Trustees. Dr. Duffy previously served on the dental advisory committee for Cape Fear Community College and is a board member of the Cape Fear Clinic—a free clinic offering medical services to uninsured individuals. Dr. Duffy further volunteers his time and expertise with NC Missions of Mercy and St. Mary’s Clinic. Dr. Duffy was also among a group that was given the award for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce “40 under 40” in 2021. In 2023, he was again recognized by Incisal Edge magazine as a leading young dentist in the country with their “40 under 40” award. An avid surfer, Dr. Duffy is a previous member of the Wrightsville Beach Longboard Association and Cape Fear Chapter’s Surfrider Foundation. He has been known to “talk surfing” to interested patients, regaling them with over 20 years’ worth of stories and world travel. Dr. Duffy and his wife Melissa have been happily married for ten years and live in Carolina Beach with their three children. The Duffys enjoy spending time together outdoors and exploring North Carolina’s beautiful Southern Coast.

Dr. Madison Godwin (Carolina Beach Location)
Born and raised in Whiteville, NC, Dr. Godwin moved to Wilmington in 2011 to attend UNCW where she earned a degree in Chemistry. She then attended ECU School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Never wanting to live too far from family and the water, Dr. Godwin moved back to Wilmington to start her career as a General Dentist. Dr. Godwin enjoys working and serving the people of North Carolina. She is passionate about her career as dentist and can’t wait to provide comprehensive dental care to her patients. Dr. Godwin is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She prides herself on making her patients feel comfortable and creating a genuine connection with her patients and providing the individualized care they need. Outside of the office, Dr. Godwin spends most of her time with her husband, Zack and their Great Dane, Ozzy. She loves the water, staying active, trying new restaurants and live music. Dr. Godwin is very excited to meet you at Live Oak Dental!

Dr. Andrew VanErp
Dr. Andrew VanErp comes from lake country in Minnesota, he enjoys all things water related such as boating, fishing, and just relaxing on the beach. He enjoys being active, including biking, fitness, and various sports! His MN sports teams have been letting him down for way too long. Dr. VanErp chose NC and the Wilmington area for its amazing weather, seafood, and beaches! (Those MN winters can be long and grueling). He also loves spending time with his family, Dr. VanErp has 4 siblings and lots and lots of extended family who love coming to visit!

Dr. Holly Goodreau
Originally from central Minnesota, Dr. Goodreau brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to dentistry. Sheis thrilled to now call Leland home, embracing the coastal life after relocating from Arizona. Dr. Goodreauis passionate about esthetic and digital dentistry, always staying at the forefront of modern techniques tohelp patients look and feel their best. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well asthe American Dental Association. Outside of the office, you’ll find her exploring the local scene with herhusband and family or enjoying time at the beach with her two dogs, Finn and Moose. She also enjoysPilates, weightlifting, and traveling. Dr. Goodreau is excited to be part of the Leland community and looksforward to building lasting relationships with her patients while making a positive impact both in and out ofthe dental chair.

Dr. Angela Marone, DDS
Originally from Lancaster, New York, Dr. Angela Marone discovered her love for dentistry early on. Sheearned her degree in Biology and Chemistry from Le Moyne College in Syracuse and went on to receiveher Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Maronehas enjoyed a rewarding career that’s taken her from serving as an Army dentist at Fort Drum, to caringfor veterans at the VA in Minneapolis, and running successful private practices in both Chicago and EdenPrairie, Minnesota. Known for her gentle touch and warm personality, Dr. Marone takes the time to makeevery patient feel comfortable and cared for. She especially enjoys aesthetic dentistry, helping patientsachieve healthy, natural-looking smiles they can be proud of.Now living in Sunset Beach, NC, Dr. Marone and her husband love spending time on the coast boating,fishing, and exploring local restaurants. She’s also a proud mom of two accomplished sons and a devoteddog mom to her two Samoyeds. When she’s not in the office, you’ll often find her baking, decoratingtreats, or recreating her favorite dishes at home.
